Graphic Designer – Signage, Graphics & Branded Environments

Full-Time | On-Site | Hummelstown, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (OT as needed)
Pay Range: Competitive & based on experience

Stoner Graphix is hiring an experienced Graphic Designer (Signage & Environmental Design) to join our team and support our growing portfolio of dimensional signage, large format graphics, branded environments, and vehicle wrap design. This is a hands-on, detail-driven, production-focused design role — ideal for a designer who loves typography, branding, and creating original work that gets fabricated and installed in the real world.

We are looking for a designer with strong design fundamentals and real signage/environmental experience who can manage multiple active projects, produce clean fabrication-ready artwork, and collaborate closely with production and fabrication teams. Experience matters for this role — but so does mindset, professionalism, humility, and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create original designs for signage and branded environments including logo design, typography-driven signage, wall graphics, dimensional lettering, vehicle graphics, and wayfinding systems

  • Prepare clean, scalable, production-ready vector artwork for CNC routing, large-format printing, vinyl application, and installation

  • Translate architectural plans, surveys, and client brand standards into functional, buildable signage concepts

  • Collaborate with Account Management, Production, Fabrication, and Install teams to ensure design accuracy, feasibility, and job clarity

  • Create and refine art proofs; apply revisions accurately while maintaining strong design integrity

  • Maintain brand consistency across all client deliverables

  • Balance creative vision with real-world constraints (materials, scale, sightlines, site conditions, fabrication methods)

  • Organize project files and maintain accurate artwork/version control within internal workflows

What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Traits
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (vector design is central to this role)

  • Strong typography and layout skills

  • Strong logo design and original concept development ability

  • High attention to detail and discipline with process (clean files, correct specs, accurate revisions)

  • Ability to design for real-world scale, materials, and legibility

  • Ability to manage multiple active projects while staying accurate and organized

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to ask questions when needed

  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude and professional communication

Preferred Experience

(Experience in any of these increases success in the role)

  • Signage, environmental, experiential, or large-format design experience

  • Designing for fabrication (dimensional lettering, routed panels, ADA signage, wayfinding systems)

  • Working with brand standards and translating them into physical environments

  • Familiarity with production workflows in a sign shop or print/manufacturing environment

  • Understanding of materials and fabrication methods used in signage

  • 3D visualization skills or comfort designing for physical spaces

Minimum Requirements
  • Portfolio demonstrating signage/environmental work, strong typography, and original logo/identity design

  • Reliable, full-time, on-site availability

  • Strong computer competency

  • Professional communication skills

Why Join Stoner Graphix?
  • Full-time, long-term career opportunity

  • Growth and advancement potential

  • Team-oriented environment with strong leadership

  • Collaboration with design, fabrication, production, and installation departments

  • Meaningful work on high-visibility signage and branding projects across Central PA

  • Competitive pay + benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO, retirement plan)

The Right Fit for This Role

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Takes pride in craftsmanship, accuracy, and high-quality design work

  • Loves typography and brand identity and can create original work (not template-driven)

  • Enjoys designing for real-world environments — not just screens

  • Communicates well and collaborates across departments

  • Can juggle multiple projects without sacrificing detail

  • Values process, accountability, and doing things correctly the first time

  • Enjoys seeing designs come to life from concept through installation

If you’re an experienced signage designer who loves building brands in the real world, we want to hear from you.
